 My Game Company announced the release of Dirk Dashing: Secret Agent, a side-scrolling platform game.
The game features a cartoony super spy, Dirk Dashing. He is the number one operative in the top-secret organization called G.O.O.D. (Government Operatives On Duty), whose mission is to protect the world from terrorists and power-mad megalomaniacs.

 The German publisher Frogster Interactive has released a playable English demo for Fast Lane Carnage, allowing players to try out this budget priced 3D arcade combat racing game by French developer Parallax Factory.
This time those players who do not know German can relax - everything is in English. The demo includes three single- and two multi-player tracks.

 The full version of the turn-based strategy by David White and Co. The Battle for Wesnoth is now available for download.
The Battle for Wesnoth is a game with a fantasy theme in which players have to build up a great army, gradually turning raw recruits into hardened veterans. In later games, they can recall their toughest warriors and form a deadly host. They can choose units from a large pool of specialists, and hand-pick a force with the right strengths to fight well on different terrains against all manner of opposition. The Battle for Wesnoth features over 200 unit types in six major factions, all with distinctive abilities, weapons and spells, hundreds of campaign scenarios available for download via a simple in-game procedure, several multi-player options available, including internet play, and many more.

 Ubisoft released a new video interview about their new action game Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent.
The best-selling Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell saga takes on an entirely new direction. In the highly anticipated sequel to the 2005 game of the year gamers play as a double agent spy for the first time ever. They can take on dual roles of covert operative and ruthless terrorist, where their choices of whom to betray and whom to protect actually affect the outcome of the game.
Players can experience the relentless tension and gut-wrenching dilemmas of life as a double agent. They have to lie, kill, sabotage, betray, all to protect the innocent. As covert operative Sam Fisher, they must infiltrate a vicious terrorist group and destroy it from within. They need to carefully weigh the consequences of their actions. If they kill too many terrorists they could blow their cover. If they hesitate millions could die. Gamers have to do whatever it takes to complete their mission and get out alive.

 Ceidot Game Studios released a number of videos from their new RPG game, called Sovereign Symphony.
The project "Sovereign Symphony", with its basis and designs based on the Ceiron Alternative Reality fiction, is a PC game developed under the constitution of Ceidot Digital Game Design Studios. It can be characterized as a product devoted to the electronic entertainment industry.
Sovereign Symphony is the company`s PC based computer game project. It is planned to be a role-playing game; a game type that gives players a chance to enter a new world of a fiction/scenario and be a character of this world. Obviously, Sovereign Symphony is the Turkey's unique, potential, international game project and it is the first game to try to launch an advanced computer game to the worldwide market.
Role playing games and strategy games are the most preferred types of electronic entertainment. The developers have decided to create an alternative gaming style by blending two popular gaming styles. The goal is to achieve a high level of gameplay uniqueness.

 A new video from the RPG by Piranha Bites and JoWood Productions, Gothic 3, was released.
The story from the two previous parts continues – the hero has saved his home island from the forces of evil. Now it is time to travel to the realms of the mainland. Invading orcs have enslaved the human kingdom. There are but a few free humans in the icy north and the southern desert as well as a handful of rebels hiding in the forests and mountains of Midland. The players may either join the rebellion or serve the orcish usurpers but they will ultimately tip the scales and decide the outcome of the last war to save humanity. There is no simple linear story in Gothic 3 - every game will be different and unique, but all will ultimately lead to them deciding the fate of humankind.

 The developers from Blue Byte Software and Ubisoft Entertainment released a new patch for the RTS The Settlers II: The Next Generation.
In the new version there are two new maps that can be played in Freeplay or Multiplayer mode - Crossroads and Keyhole.
There are some changes in Freeplay and Multiplayer mode. Players' start positions (headquarters positions) are now shown on the map overview and can be freely assigned to players. Double allocation of a start position (HQ) is not allowed and the match cannot be started if this is the case.
All players can now save the current map state during multiplayer battles. When a player saves the game in Multiplayer, the save game file is saved on all computers participating in the current multiplayer game. This multiplayer savegame can also be used to host new multiplayer games.
If players want to continue a saved game with the same players, they do not need to download the map again as the map (save game) already exists on the clients.

 EA and Digital Illusions released another video for their new action game from the Battlefield franchise – Battlefield 2142.
The year is 2142, and the dawn of a new Ice age has thrown the world into a panic. The math is simple and brutal: The soil not covered by ice can only feed a fraction of the Earth's population. Some will live, most will die. In Battlefield 2142, players will choose to fight for one of two military superpowers in an epic battle for survival, the European Union or the newly formed Pan Asian Coalition. Armed with a devastating arsenal of hi-tech assault rifles, cloaking devices and sentry guns, players will also do battle using some of the most imposing vehicles known to man. Massive battle Mechs wage fierce combat on the ground, while futuristic aircraft rule the skies. When facing one of these new behemoths, players will need to use their wits and an arsenal of new countermeasures like EMP grenades to level the playing field.
Team play features allow up to 64 players to enter the action on the front lines as part of a formal squad, or work behind the scenes in Commander Mode to direct the strategic assaults of their teammates. With in-game success, players increase their rank and unlock awards, including new weapons, medals and more, delivering the most comprehensive and flexible persistence in the Battlefield universe to date.
