 Matrix Games and 2BY3 Games released a new minor patch for their strategy game War in the Pacific: The Struggle Against Japan 1941-1945.
This update includes a host of minor updates and improvements such as improving airgroup control as well as number of improvements that increase turn processing efficiency. The play-by-email synchronization bug has also been squashed in this update. These improvements round out the list of over 70 minor changes included in this patch.

 A new patch for the FPS Prey by Human Head Studios, 3D Realms, Venom Games and 2K Games is out.
This add-on includes new maps and multiplayer models as well as a number of bug fixes from previous versions. This version is network incompatible with previous versions, so by installing this version players will not be able to join any 1.0 or 1.1 multiplayer servers.
This add-on includes four new multiplayer maps and six new multiplayer characters. The original DM maps in Prey are best suited for 4-8 players. The maps in this add-on are designed for smaller number of players, especially for 1v1 or 2v2 play.
Several new character models are available in DM - three female characters and two alien characters.

 SEK and Sunflowers released a singleplayer demo version for their new RTS, called ParaWorld.
Thå demo contains a single-player tutorial in Viking Park along with the full introduction cutscene and the first mission titled Stranded.
In this game set in long forgotten prehistoric world, players command their troops from dizzying heights, enthroned upon the heads of mighty dinosaurs and other tremendous beasts. ParaWorld features more than 20 playable maps and 5 different climatic zones (Northlands, Jungle, Savannah, Ice Wastes and Lava), gigantic combat units, different LAN and Internet multi-player modes for up to 8 players with 9 playable heroes and more.

 There is a new version of the MMO client for the MMORPG by Funcom and Tri Synergy, Anarchy Online.

 At last, the demo version of the long awaited strategy by Creative Assembly and Sega, Medieval II: Total War, is available.
The new game is the latest and greatest game in the best selling and award-winning Total War series.  Best Way and Paradox Interactive released a demo version of their new strategy game with tactical elements Silent Heroes.
The Second World War is the most dramatic armed conflict in the history of mankind. However strategic advantages are often gained not through an offensive of multi-thousand armies, but thanks to the efforts of a small group of specially-trained soldiers – saboteurs.
They gain the rear of the enemy just like if they were invisible, inflicting surprise blows to the core of the hostile defense. Using their vast combat experience, they help the army to proceed with a successful offensive and crush the enemy in all directions without leaving them any chance for victory.
Silent Heroes gives players a chance to take the lead of a group of saboteurs and fulfill a number of highly complicated tasks in the rear of the German army: capture an enemy officer, destroy hostile radars, occupy a railroad station and take part in the chase after a German “Tiger”.

 Blue Fang Games and Microsoft Game Studios released a demo version of their new expansion pack for the simulation/strategy game Zoo Tycoon 2 - Zoo Tycoon 2: Marine Mania.
The expansion features 20 new marine animals, including green sea turtles, black tip reef sharks and West Indian manatees.
Zoo Tycoon 2 cranks up the excitement, challenge and fun of building the ultimate zoo with 30 animals in incredible detail with more fun animations, a dazzling array of building tools and objects, including themed-buildings, moats, photo mode options, easier terrain altering options and rivers. Gameplay has been enhanced from the original title, with a new zoom mode and 3D graphics that allow players to keep an even closer eye on the action and craft more creative zoos.

 There is yet another gameplay video from the RTS Warhammer: Mark of Chaos, made by Black Hole Games, Cinergi Interactive and Namco.
The game features epic battles within massive landscapes, while offering an astounding level of detail, from a bird's eye view down to the insignias on a warrior's armor. Over a year has passed since the Great War, during which the brutal Chaos armies swept across the Empire lands. Many fierce battles still rage across the Old World. Portions of the defeated Chaos armies have retreated to the distant Northern Wastes, while others have fallen to hostile groups. Among these tribes, new Champions rise up in an effort to reunite the Chaos forces, yet eventually all fail. None can match the power of their fallen leader, Asavar Kul. The united Empire and High Elf forces hunt the Chaos hordes from the Empire territories, still alert because danger lurks around them in the form of smaller enemy warbands that loot the settlements of the border lands.  A new patch for the cycling manager sim Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2006 by Cyanide Studio, Focus Home Interactive and Crimson Cow is out.
The new version of the game includes a lot of bug fixes and also brand new features. Players now have the possibility to personalize the starting list of riders in stage, classic and tour modes (using xml file). The patch is delivered with a file enabling the 2006 Tour de France to run with the 176 riders who were present at Strasbourg. The equipment is also updated. Also, in career mode there are several corrections. One of them is a bug in replies by riders to the players offers of contract. Possibility to now borrow more money in career mode (100 000 to 1 000 000 EUR) over a longer period (6 - 24 months). Correction to display of financial amounts. Adjustments to AI governing race participation.

 There is a new stability patch for the RTS by TopWare Interactive, Interplay and Epic Interactive, Earth 2140.
The update stops the hardware problems at the end of the 5th UCS mission under Windows XP. Moreover, the 1,2 MB package includes all fixes of version 1.0.
